OH MAI GAHD!!!
Watched Army Daze on Sunday on Arts Central. Brings back good memories of the film. It was aired in 1996. God, I was only 9 years old. Hahahhaah. I remembered watching it and wondering why in the world a guy acts like a girl. Hahahha. Yea, Kevin Verghese, the HOTT and CUTE actor who played Kenny, the guy who is, well, VERY feminine. Back then, I don't even know what gay means. Hahahhaa. Hey, I was only 9! Lol.
I can remember soo clearly that there's a scene where they were supposed to be camouflage themselves with leaves or whatever and Kenny designed his with flowers. Hahahhaha.
The film is actually based on the National Service experience by a group of enlistees in the Singapore Armed Forces.
Back then, I thought the film was AWESOME! Well, now, it's still as awesome but ever since I majored in Audio Video Production, I spotted a couple of mistakes that the production crew shouldn't have made. Hahahhaah. For example, in a couple of scenes, I spotted the boom mike. HAHAHHAHAHA. There's no continuity either. But then again, who am I to judge? I'm just a 21-year-old girl who is currently slacking at home and dancing. I'm supposed to look for a JOB!! Lol.
Anyway, it's such a blast watching that film again. One of the BEST Singaporean Classic film! Hahhaah. And when I watched that, I thought of him. Hahahhhaha. Wondering how he's surviving right now at his field camp at Tekong. Lol. And I'm wondering how my younger brother will fare during his stint in NS later on when his time comes. Hahhahahahaha...goodness, I bet mummy will be crying and wishing him NOT to leave. But, I think she'll be GLAD. Lol.
Oh well, it'a 2:40am now and I just saw that there's Army Daze on youtube. Oh yea, I'm spazzing over Army Daze now. Thanks Arts Central for making me reminisce those times.
